How's my engine?

So I tested my engine for compression yesterday and got about 85 psi on each face. It's an S5 NA, how do these readings sound, I was thinking of rebuilding my engine but now I think it's pretty good.

Thanks

woah, rebuild time! Perfect compression is 120psi, but some compression checkers have trouble reading that high. Make sure your check device can go that high reliably, such as actually putting a 120 psi compressor to it...later

You can run the engine for awhile still at 85psi. It's not great, typically you'd want above 90, but you're probably good for awhile. Might start saving for a rebuild, just in case.

BTW, 120 psi is ideal, but you'll never find it on a rebuild. The highest i've heard of is 110. Maybe Kevin Landers will post on here, he'd know before anyone else.

Well, how many miles on it? They can go out that low, but usually last long enough to save for a good rebuild. Once you go below 70psi, consider the engine to be running on borrowed time... and $...later
