Ok...assuming that the s-afc that i'm using to measure air flow apon is accurate, how would you calculate how much hp your are gaining from an increase in air flow?
When i dyno'd my car, it put down 167rhwp@7500rpms and 121.6 max torque at 6,500rpms. At the time the s-afc was reading about 53.5% or so. Since making a cold air intake, removing some more stuff out of the intake path, and some other minor things, i've been hitting about 60%. (Actually a little higher) I would just like to know how much a increase of about 6.5% air flow would calculate to hp. Be it, flywheel, or rwhp.
Could you just guesstimate, the flywheel hp my engine is making, then add about 6.5% more hp? Please tell me its not that simple.
Also, how does one, go about finding out how volumetric effecient a motor is?
Thanks, CJ

good question. I've been looking at mine cause I just installed it 2 weeks ago. I've hit 69.7% @10psi but I think the TII AFM is bigger too. but I have no dyno numbers.

Actually, i've a couple people on the forum measure the turbo ones for me. 2.5" in and 3" out. Same as the non-turbo.
But from what i understand, the 89-91 mazda 929s have the largest afm that mazda ever made. I've also heard....but don't know if true or not...that its a direct plug in. CJ
