Do you just want it to LOOK like an S5, or do you want it to BE and S5?

Simple. Sell the s4 and buy an s5. You're either insane, or extremely insane if you want to partake in a FULL CONVERSION TO S5.

As other members have said, what exactly do you want to do?

Change the exterior?
Change the interior?
Perform a S5 engine swap?

Please elaborate.

Either way, its cheaper to sell the S4 now and buy an S5. Considering even cosmetic S5 conversions or actual engine work and lighter rotors S5 conversions is going to cost a lot for minimal gains.

is it a lot of work to get the side moldings and front and rear bumper off a S5?

Its easy to do the swap

1) Park s4 in driveway, remove chassis.
2) Park s5 in driveway, remove chassis.
3) Reinstall s4 chassis in s5 driveway.

How involved do you want to go? If the conversion is purely for cosmetic reasons, you'll need

IF you're doing an interior swap, and you're using a common color like blue, or burgundy red, then all you need is the center console, gauge cluster, rear hatch cover, and door panels.

However, if you're looking to change to a black interior, then you'll need EVERYTHING. You can get away with dying the dash and carpet, but it'll look better if you buy the right parts from the get-go. A black conversion is going to be expensive and hard, but it looks so good, that it's almost worth it.

For an exterior conversion you need: the front and rear bumpers, taillights, side-moldings and wheels (the 89-91 TII/GTUs and 'Vert BBS rims are the only worthwhile rims throwing on there.)

For an engine conversion...don't bother, just buy an S5.

The engine conversion is easier than the interior swap.

Too much time and money. Just get an aftermarket exhaust or get your engine street ported.
