How to tell the difference between turbo II diff and N/A lsd?

I need to know if there is a way to look at a diff and tell if it is out of a turbo II or N/A.

Tii rear ends = 8"

N/a rear ends are 7"

The case for the tii will be bigger than an n/a. Take a picture, it might help.

You could also bring a TII halfshaft along when you look at the LSD. If the TII halfshaft fits, then it is a TII LSD. If the TII halfshaft bolt pattern is just slightly too big, then it is a NA LSD.

Also, keep in mind that nearly every S4 LSD needs rebuilding nowadays if it still has the original clutch parts. The clutch parts alone are about $600, or you can buy new aftermarket replacement units for about $1,000. Many of the S5 LSDs still function, but they are not rebuildable once they wear out, although you can replace the internals with aftermarket components just like the S4.
