how to take off rusted on brake lines?

how to take off rusted on brake lines?

ive run into another problem with my 5lug swap. the original brake lines are rusted on. anyone know how i can remove them and not have to replace all the hard lines?

Lots of PB Blaster. Let it set a couple of days and spray once a day. Use only the proper flare wrench. If it starts to strip out, use a set of 5R vise grips. If that isn't working, try a little heat from a propane torch, then try the vise grips again. If that fails you're probably SOL.

As a side note, sometimes tightening and loosening will help break a nuts, bolts or whatever loose. Working it back and forth, not exceeding it's structural will sometimes loosen what is holding it, i.e. rust, threadlock etc..

Use heat. Propane tank should be fine. Mapp hotter though.
