How to take the cover for the T2 intercooler

I recently purchased a T2 intercooler for my turbo Miata. I am wondering how I can take that top cover off the intercooler without breaking it.

Thanks

There are little pins holding it on. Cut those and it comes straight off. However you wont get it on again.

the silver cover, that is if that's what you are trying to remove, its just riveted onto the intercooler itself. you could either dril out the rivets or grind them off with a die grinder.

One of the little hoses goes to the AWS (automatic warmup system) the other to the ASV (air supply valve). I'm pretty sure those are right.
