Question How should I build my Rear End?

So I have a 1987 GXL with an LS1 engine and T56 transmission. It should be making about 400hp. A few weeks ago, I blew the stock rear end and bought an 88 turbo II rear and axles from someone on this forum. I want to build this thing right the first time. I was wondering what people suggest I do in addition to just replacing rear end and half shafts. Should I change the bushings to urethane or Delrin or solid? Are there possible issues I might be overlooking? I am short on money, but have access to a machine shop and welder at work. Any suggestions are appreciated.

thanks!

Tom
