How To Remove The Spider Emissions?

I'm talking about the bunch of hoses on the lower intake plenum. Can you remove this on a S5? If so, how? I looked in the archive, and found the thread on emissions, but I couldn't tell what they were talking about. Thanks.

Yea it helps if you know what each device is before you start removing things. Just a reminder that your not ready for this Seriously, understand exactly what your removing, and understand the pros/cons (example, BAC valve, PCV valve).

I removed mine when I first got the car, at that time (a couple weeks) I had understood exactly what did what. Its easy, grab a haynes manual, check out the vacuum diagram section and read it over a few times so you know what the hell is going on.
After that its pretty straight forward, remove the intake system and follow the guide.
Even better, you can get the factory service manuals for free, they have a nice fuel/emissions section in there that you can have a look at before you start pullin ****.

good luck. If you don't know what something is, you can PM me or just search, i'll help you as best I can.
