How to Remove Front Bumper and Fenders
How to Remove Front Bumper and Fenders
Can someone explain how to remove the Front Bumper and the Left & Right Fenders properly?
I'm still looking at the Manual but can't seem to figure it out. Anyone here had experience before, so I can be more informed how to do it properly.

Help is Appreciated

take all the bolts out. there are 3 or 4 between the fender and bumper that are hardest to get off. you need to stick a ratchet with extensions through the wheelwell to get them. the rest is pretty easy. be prepared to break a few bolts.
Lol I know what you're talking about. It happened to me with the rear bumper.
Is there a possible way you guys can take pics of your own FC to show me the wheelwell? or point it out in the Pic I posted.
Thanks for your help and fast replies

Anyhoo, the splashshields are in the fender wells, held on by a dozen or so little 8mm screws, a couple 10mm's, and a couple plugs. Best off just taking the whole damn thing out, then when you look in towards the bumper, you'll see the nuts that need to come off that secure the fender to the bumper. And, don't forget the couple little bolts where the front "lip" (not sure if it's s4 or s5) attaches to the fender.
Stop telling this boy lies. We all know the best and fastest way to remove a bumper is to crash into another car. that will take it off....or atleast some of it.
The body shop will take the rest off
3 inside the wheelwell when you look under the splash guard. look to the front then the two at the bottom by the door and 4 inside the engine bay

Thanks. Wow I spent like about 3-5hours with my friend figuring out why it wasn't coming off (in the Rain+It was cold). So Hopefully I can get it off tomorrow and install it to my other FC.
Also by taking off the bolts inside the wheelwell, will that make the front bumper and the fenders come off the FC at the same time?

Listen there are 3 bolts there under the fender facing the front
Then you have 2 more on each corner on the top u need to take out or move around the headlight mechanism to get to them

You need to put the front in the air and take the wheels off. Period.
Once you've done that take out the ten or so self tapping screws that hold the fender liners in. There will be three studs (on each side) in the bumper that pass through the bumper to the wheel well, remove them. There will be a few 6mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper (lower lip area), remove them. Unplug your turn signals from in the engine bay. Remove the four 6mm bolts on the top of the bumper at the core support. Pull the bumper from the bottom and rotate it up to remove it.
The fenders. Remove the single nut in the rear of the wheel well (in the wheel well, looking towards the rear of the car). Open the door slightly (leave it like this - at first detent), and remove the single 6mm bolt about three inches down from the rear view mirror(s). Remove the two bolts at the k rail. Remove the 6mm bolts at the top of fender in the engine bay. Carefully (do not bend) pull the fender from the bottom of the car rotating up, lift and pull the fender from the car.
Upon installing the fenders on the car, mount all the bolts and leave them loose. Test fit the fender's gap making sure all is even around the door (pay special attention here), hood, and bumper - if it's mounted. Carefully hold the fender in place (pulling/pushing it) and open the door slowly making sure it does not contact the fender and damage it. Adjust the fender's position to accomplish this.
This is not a hard task and shouldn't take any where near 3-5 hours... but be careful and cautious and you should be fine.

No problem. I typed that by memory so forgive me if I miss-counted bolts.
Follow that post, and remove the parts. If there's any hesitation, or if the parts don't feel loose, make sure you got all the bolts. This is really not a hard job, and some PB Blaster will save you all kinds of headaches with broken bolts. Both bumpers I picked off cars that were sitting for at least a year (and one fender), and did not break a single bolt.
I don't know why, but maybe this random picture of my tweaked core support that I straightened will help you see how everything looks.
