how much would u pay for a FC.

Iv had my FC for a couple of weeks now and iv always felt iv paid too much. Im not going to tell anyone how much i paid so dont ask. How much does a 90' gxl with 50,000 miles on it and with all the trimmings go for these days? Everything is stock on the car, even shocks and you can even tell a difference between 'Normal' and 'Sport' mode with the a.a.s. selecter.

$4000 would be reasonable for that car with the normal wear. The sky's the limit if it's "mint".

A 90gxl with 50k miles? Perfect condition, I think 4k would be a fair price, for a car that runs nice, drives nice, looks nice, and has low miles.

I paid $2400 for my '86 GXL with 90k. The paint is very nice, but there are a few minor dings and such here and there. My interior is near mint though. I always thought I kinda paid too much as Ive seen people getting them for around $1k. But sometimes you get what you pay for.

I'd say:

1990 GXL 50K miles, leather interior, rarer paint code/color, fully loaded, aluminum jack, cargo cover (big plus), 8x adj. leather seats with lumbar, leather door skins, etc..

$6500

i paid $1200 for my '90 GTU, it was srecked on the front and cost $700 to fix it, and a $2000 paint job, every cent was worth it. you should go to http://kbb.com to find out how much your car is worth

I paid 9500 for my 88 TII with 21k original miles with new motor, turbo, and clutch. Black beauty with grey leather interior. Flawless, like going back in time!!!!!!

Some might think that is a bit high but to get a perfect car is worth it to me.

I paid 8800 for my '87 TII......had 27k original miles, perfect condition all around. I'm right there with ye Steve, but I don't care cause my car was easily worth that much to me. Especially when I was comparing it to 3rd gens that were priced twice as much and 4X the miles!

I paid $2200 for my '86 with 180k miles and a blown engine. But the previous owner babied the hell out of this car, there is one rock chip, one door ding, and one interior piece cracked.

Back in the winter of 98-99 I paid $4000 for a 1988 GXL with 80K on it and in exceptional condition.

Last June I paid $6000 for a 1990 TII with black leather and 89K miles.

well, i guess i dont feel to bad, i paid $5400 for my car. I guess i got a pretty good deal. i got just about everything Vaughnc said, except the rare paint. (bright red?) The only thing wrong with my car is that the rear wheel bearings make a little "wooping" sound since the car sat around for so long. For the past week, iv been replacing all the fluids that get neglicted, trans oil, brake fluid... still got to do coolent and diff oil.

I paid $2k for an 89 GXL. It has new paint job and everything was in good condition. Only thing is that it needed a good tuneup and a new clutch.

I paid in May $5.500,00 for my 1991 vert in mint condition, 89k, the cover for the top was still in the original packaging. By the way I live in Florida, Daytona Beach, I took a plane to Virginia Beach where the car was and I drove 14 hours straight down to Florida all in one day and still the car cruises and drive like a champ.

a few months ago, I paid $2000 for my 88 GXL, all options except ABS, plus an aftermarket car phone (ripped it out the day I got it). Couple door dings and a couple paint cracks, almost perfect aside the 10+ electrical issues it has. I have no regrets, but around here in northern VA I see N/A's in the paper for $4000+, and I have only seen one TII... ever. I'm stuck doing an N/A-TII conversion, but that shouldn't be too bad if I keep the N/A driveline like so many say is OK to do.
