how much will this cost....
well, i'm getting my first FC this summer, and i've done the search and found out that i should do a couple of things as soon as i get it:
change all the fluids (transmission, oil, etc. etc)
change the spark plugs and other engine parts
get a full tune up of the car and try to make it run as good as possible before modding
the question is, how much does this cost usually? it probably differs from shop to shop, but just want a ballpark... i'm trying to tentatively establish a budget.

well, the cost of your fluids, plugs, and air filter. Pretty simple. Changing of all that stuff is a piece of cake. Labor should be free because you do it yourself.

5 qts motor oil = $8
Oil Filter = $5 (could be as cheap as $2, as expensive as $10, depending on the brand)
3 qts Redline synthetic for tranny (MT90) = $25
2 qts Redline for differential (75W-90) = $16
1 jug Prestone = $5
1 gallon distilled water = $1
4 spark plugs = $20
1 set of stock NGK spark plug wires = $40
I could go on, but my head hurts trying to remember how much this stuff costs at my local auto parts store. Other things to change would be the air filter, coolant hoses, belts, inspect all vacuum lines, etc. If you have decent mechanical ability and access to basic tools, you can do it yourself. It's fun, trust me.
