realistically how much hp would i get from a full exhuast setup on my 88gxl. from headers to muffler. my goal isnt volume but i do want it to sound nice and low. not like a weed wacker.

About 15 from my cheap homemade setup.
It's hard to tell without before & after dyno's, but it sure feels good!

See my sig for sound & pics.

Mike would you want something similar to my sound? Or is it too loud? Yes 25-30 hp is a typical gain to the flywheel if configured correctly. My exhaust is straight through with no baffles. Only one muffler at the end that is a straight through Ractive muffler with fiberglass packing (not really recommended for rotories) 2.5 inches inlet and 2.5 inches outlet. In my opinion it is nice and quiet when cruising (barely noticeable) and nice and assertive when getting on it. When I get on it though I am not so loud that others have to cover their ears.

As far as the entire system goes...talk to Levi and he will hook you up with a friend. Make it single to save weight and time when ripping out your tranny in the future.

PM me if you have any questions Mike.
