MN How much can i get for this turbo 2

before buying the car, the car had hail damage on the hood. a baseball size dent near the third brake light. driver side door dent and door mechanical failure.

after buying the car, i had the s4 tail lights swapped out for s5 tail lights. fixed the mechanical failure in the driver side door and installed power locks. replaced the slave clutch cylinder and rebuilt the master clutch cylinder.

kept the car pretty much stock, and has about 115,XXX miles on it now... some of the paint is peeling, i sprayed some paint to cover some areas i sanded for future paint job to prevent rusting in that area.

how much am i looking on getting?

I'd say probably $2200 or so with just the information given (Which isn't much, it doesn't really say the year, interior quality, or anything else). But for a body in need of paint/minor repair, somewhat older engine, and not much done I'd say that be an average ballpark region. Or slightly less, given your second post.

$1000-$1500 probably. hard to tell without pics. if you had a receipt of a rebuilt engine you could get more. 150,000 miles on the stock motor is kinda high.

You look awfully young to be driving.

Paint looks very nice though...seriously, $500?
Was that a "good guy" price or the regular deal for anyone.
Hell, for that kind of money I could drive up to Idaho and stay in a motel for a couple of weeks and still save over a paint job down here...

Good guy price, i am actually a woodworker and i built a cherry bedroom set for my buddy's new daughter, he felt like painting it for me, had the car in his garage to change the clutch and when we got done with that he just started sanding it, said now we had to paint it cause it looked like crap, i believe he said for anyone else it would be around $2k cause the car is so small.

And that is my sidekick, he just loves daddy's "racecar" because it "goes faster"

Back on Topic: I really couldnt see you getting much more than $1000 for the car if there is that much wrong with it, but it wouldnt hurt anything to post it on craigslist or a local classifieds for more and see if anyone takes it, I hate seeing cars on here parted out, one less 7 in the world, kinda sad

Well give us a clue. How much did you buy it for? You've done some work to it, so the value is probably up a bit.

gahh man dont listen to these people.. rx7owners run down the value of our cars lol

Fix the engine problem, sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. Check the turbo condition etc. Than push for 3-4k. Take Awesome pictures, its all how you market the car, Know what your talking about... If you act like you dont know much about the car, than you will receive low offers.

A good runing rx7 is what keeps its value.. a nice rx7 with a bad motor sadly isnt worth much because of the general consumer's fear of the rotary engine.

yea i know what you mean... but its still to cold up here. i'll probably check and clean the throttle body in spring and maybe repaint the hood and fill in the hail damage and other areas, but i still got to check the exhaust pipes... i know a part down there is broken cause i can feel the exhaust fume/heat come from under.

If you're not going to fix it completely, I would part it out. It will take longer but you will make twice as much.

$1000-$1500 is a fair price. you might be able to sell it for more to someone who doesn't know about rx7's. get it running well and you could probably get $2000-$2500 for it.
