How much?

Hello,

I'm new to rx-7's, and was thinking about buying a 1988 TII. Could you tell me somethings I should know about this car and roughly how much money i would need for a good running car and a good body?

Thank-you for any help

i spent 5700 for my tii. it already had a bunch of stuff done to it. It all depends on what you plan on doing to the car. If you are going to try and make a whole boatload of power you may consider buying a shell or something with a blown motor and swapping a s5 motor, 13bre or a 20b in. if you are not looking to do anything crazy just make sure the car you are buying has good compression on the motor. Keep in mind that you are going to have to spend a bit of money on the car as soon as you get it for a basic tuneup. Look to spend 3-4k on a decent tii with a good body.

lol why do noobs always talk about dropping in 20b's like there cheap 5.0 motors, it's like $10k-20k for a 20b, very few people at all do that swap.

look to spend 2-4k on a t2 and another 1000 replacing worn out parts and maintenance, then probalbly another 2k within a year or 2 having the motor rebuilt, then like 5k-10k in supporting mods cause you decide you want more boost, another 2k having the motor rebuilt again cause you blew it in tuning.

rx7 isn't a car it's more like a money pit that you get to drive around for a couple months a year while your fixing it the rest of it

sorry i had a rought morning working some quirks out on mine

Thank-you everyone. Is a NA easier to service and everything compared to a Turbo?
