For most of the early 2000s FCs were around 10 thousand AUD here, but then around 2010 they dropped to about half that price. Just in the last year though they've gone up to around $15,000.
Do you anticipate the demand to increase and supply to decrease?

They go for about $5K CAD here for a decent running one, $10K will get you one with alot of work done.

In California, United States, I’ve bought 8 fc’s in various conditions. $1400 USD for a s4 na with 100k miles, $250 for a non running s4 t2, $3800 for a s5 with s5 t2 engine, haltech, bugger turbo.

now I’m seeing fc’s listed for more than I think they’re worth. Minimum price is around $3k. I see extremely nice s5 t2’s listed for $10k. Decent s4/s5 t2 for 5k.

just because they’re listed at that price doesn’t mean they sell at that price. IMO, they’re getting overpriced. I could buy a nice Datsun for what these guys are asking for.

Here in Puerto Rico these cars were dirt cheap and lots of parts for turbo2's... But now all of a sudden people are asking 12k+ usd and they are getting rare man I have a 91 t2 I now have to think if I even want to use it for work, just for the lack of spare parts haha and my car we used it in the dragstrip!! It aint a civic so gotta be carefull with breaking transmissions/diff/axles

They range 1k beat in to 10k built turbo, just passed on a t2 for 4k all stock because I know the compression was low, then your in another 3k minimum rebuild. Neat go carts, not super practical as an only car. Parts are insanely hard to locate.

In the USA, it varies by region. Some states seem to have zero Rx-7's, so the price goes up due to scarcity.

While I've seen some overpriced examples, it's getting hard to find a clean example due to all the drift kids wrecking them and people will pay more for a nicer car. In my area, a rough FC that runs is around 1000-2500 USD. Clean examples have sold from 5000 to 12000 USD.

Either way, I'll take the increased value. I've spent a lot of money to make my car unique, clean, and reliable.
