hi, i just went out and bought an 87 n/a automatic for $300 bucks. runs fine. 120,000 miles and need a new rearend. gonna strip it, sell everything i can and toss in a turbo engine.
what do you think i could get for the engine and transmission if i rebuilt the engine?

wondering if anyone has sold something like that before.

If you rebuild the engine you will not get what it cost you to rebuild. Its better to save the time and money and sell it as a working core. I'd say in the 300-400 dollar range for the long block.

 

the auto is basically worthless.




if the engine is running i would sell it as is. dont rebuild it just to sell it
