How Many S4 Vert Produced?

Hey Everyone,

I have searched for this and came up with nothing. I know that someone on here has to know this.

Just would like to know how many S4 Verts were produced.

Regards,

- Anil Singh

S4 Vert

Hey,

An S4 Vert is an 88. Being that S4's are from 86-88 and the S5's are from 89-91. An S4 vert can only be an 88.

i know that the verts came out in 88, but what would be the point in making a vert with s4 body moldings for less than a year, then changing it?

and i know the years of the s4 and s5 models thank you very much haha.

i'm not a vert person, so i don't really know much about them.

I have the book Sports Car Color History Mazda RX-7. It answers every question but that one. I can tell you that in 88 Sales for the RX-7 were 27,814 and the vert started at $20,500 and mid year was $21,550. The sales are not broken down by model. In 88, they produced like 100 versions of the 7. All models were significantly changed under the hood in 89 (the S5). So, the S4 vert was only available in 88. The book states that "with few exceptions, model year data is not available, nor has any breakdown by equipment or versions with few exceptions been made available by Mazda". However, I'm sure someone has been able to figure it out; VIN numbers can probably be used. Now I'm kind of curious too.

S4 Vert

I am just curious to know how many were produced for 88. This is just a question that has me curious being that I am a vert owner and would like to know how many other S4 verts are possibly out there aside from those that are in the graveyard and ger scrapped like every month.

I have an '88 vert, so you can add one to your tally. It's 95% T-II'ed though...
