I bought my 90 GTU with 8,000 miles in 11/95.
Rebuilt motor at 89,000; now at 115,000.

Miles . . . .

My 86 base has 113k on it, and I bought it from the original owner 4 years ago with 69K on it. Still runs good.

125,000, supposedly the eng was redone at 100,000 but the guy lied to me about everything else so WTF knows. Anyway, had it checked, said it was good, runs great, just took it to Atlanta and TN and it was excellent so there.

I've got 183,000kms on it. 3rd motor (hopefully this one will make over 500hp). The last one made over 420 and was internally stock. Lasted for 65,000kms since last rebuild and 85,000kms on the seals etc. (long story)

I just hit 131,000 on the car itself, but a new engine was put in around 20k miles ago, and the tranny was rebuilt right after.

Feels like a brand new car.

Are you kidding me !!! How does a 17 year old car have 13k miles !! that means the thing has had less than 1000 miles per year ! Now alot of people drive their 7s as daily drivers, but what do you call yours, a yearly driver ?

alittle over 250k i beleive 2nd engine, but it now has a cracked side seal in the rear rotor, and some other stuff is starting to go bad so this year im working on fixing it all, motor, maybe rebuilt tranny, diffenetly suspension for drifting cause the tokico shocks and eibach springs give me to much understeer, and other such things

The guy I bought it from told me, "I bought the car with the intention of selling it for more than I bought it for." He drove it twice every month, and took really good care of it. I bought it for $7500... He paid $27k back in 1988. I don't think he got his money back. It's awesome though. Still smells new!
