'90 GXL with 145,xxx miles, engine rebuilt @ 90k

 

'87 GXL w/ 191xxx miles and still going strong

 

1990 GXL, 176k miles, 56k on 2nd engine

 

1988 10AE - 50K on when purchased, 75K now, motor number 3.

 

87 GXL, just hit 110,000 original miles. Compression still stands at 110 front, 100 rear.

 

87 Sport Package, 110,000 on original engine, no problems.

 

'88 SE 38### miles

 

91 with 137,647. running kinda rough

 

My '88 SE had only 70K miles since I owned it last year. My old '87 TII had 209K miles, I think. And my '88 10th AE has 119K.

 

Just bought my 89' GXL with 79,990 and turned over 80K on the way home. I was looking for an 89' to 91' N/A for about 3 months in San Diego and about all I saw were 'verts. This one was very, very clean so I coughed up $3250 (only down from the $3500 asking price, but still...) and am very happy with it (thereby avoiding the $400 plus car payment I would have for an RX8 that I wanted sooo badly... My 86' has about 155K and still runs very strong. Just putting a new waterpump and doing the basics getting it ready to sell. My previous 83' had about 210k when the heater hose blew along with a failure of the low coolant buzzer and trashed the engine. That one was still running and idling very well when the hose blew. I love my rotaries... I have had or have; R100, RX2, RX4, Rotary Truck (current project...), 3 RX7's, Cosmo (the funky US model... which I inherited and which I will sell very cheap for parts! good ribcase 5 speed, Engine was good before it sat for several years.. now? who knows???) Anyway, back to the topic... I see many 7's at the bone yard that died an obviously violent death when that had well over 200k, so they were running up to then.

 

I have an 88 TII that has 168,000miles on it. Still idles/runs strong:: knocks on wood ::, and it's still driven hard

i have a 87 na wikth 259009 to the date 40 k on rebulid 30 k on tranny rebuild only problem is oil pan gasket bad, mine smokes like a mother f@!#$@ because of the oil leak... the good news is i will have that fixed on the 12th!!! yea!!

 

car=129,000 (roughly)
engine=??? I bought the engine from Kevin Landers and i think he said it had a 137 on it, i'm not sure how any are on it now. LoL

 

Purchased two years ago with 143,000 on it, as of today 180,198. I just put in a fresh motor and turbo and re did all the vaccum and fuel lines and almost everything else in the engine bay at 178,780. ('87 Turbo)

19x,xxx on odometer, but only like 3-400 miles on the rebuild

 

88 convertible 140k orig mi. 40k on Jdm 13bt

 

Seems like 87 and 88 engiens are the best. lol.

 

86' GXL with 196,000 on her! Driven VERY hard daily and especially hard on the weekends. I put 100+ miles on it everyday. Oh yeah, the engine was new at 175,000 just before I bought it. This thing is a champ.

63,000 after rebuild. 216,000 on car

 

88 SE, 160K on most of the body (small accident a few years back, nothing major) and 2.5K on motor after TII swap Suspension and all bushings have about 10K on them. ZERO rust outside, and very little underneath (rails are perfect). Age does catch up though, a section of fuel line is corroded and will be replaced next week.

 

128k and some change on the chasis, about 14k on the atkins rebuild.
