Question ?? on how to make Apexi N1 exhaust to fit stock Cat. converter

I recently picked up a 89 rx7 turbo 2. I am going to replace the stock exhaust with Apexi N1 (pipe 3 inches in diameter). The problem is the piping of the cat. converter is only 2 inches in diameter, so it doesn't fit with the exhaust. Where can i get parts or do to make it possible? Any brilliant suggestions? Please help...

thanks...

Really?

I always thought it was bolt on. Is the cat stock OEM?

Well, i also have an aftermarket downpipe. Maybe that's why it doesn't fit.
