Two videos on the page: One is fully open exhaust with just a downpipe/midpipe and the other compares the downpipe/midpipe, the dp/mp with Apex N1, and the apex N1 with the silencer.

The audio quality, while good, doesn't do the open exhaust ANY justice. It was loud enough to feel standing 10 feet away at idle

mine is hella loud! running rb 3'' dp out to custom 3'' single N1 with a presilencer. I can't imagine how loud it would be without the presilencer. Although my friends mr2 with an exhaust leak has me beat... his sounds its running freakin' straight headers.

Well I am glad I posted this question because just about all of you have me beat for loudness. Mine sounds about like a typical Harley Davidson bike for sound and loudness.

I wouldn't be worrying about it but I don't live in Phoenix any more. Loud exhausts were pretty common there but there aren't too many ricers running around these parts with fart cans, getting all the attention from the cops . . .

mines loud enough to hear for about 5 mins after i drive off. it wails. i dont mind the loudness, really i dont. but the pitch bothers me, its way too high. it sounds too much like a rotary i want it to be a bit deeper. of course i havent had to deal with a long interstate drive yet so i dunno how quick the loud would get old. its fun in tunnels though. go WOT, then let the BOV sound right before letting out a massive fireball. you should see the other drivers faces. oh yeah, my car is an 87 T2 with 89 motor and turbo, running 2.5 w/o cats to a ghetto **** dual cat-back.

it depends. sometimes i get bored and take the everything past the downpipe off. ya its F'N loud. then most of the time i just have the RB presilcener on it. it still makes every interior piece rattle from the resonance.

headers were mentioned. i ran mindtrain headers, a bonez high-flow cat, and oem style exhaust. wasn't loud at all. this is on a '90 gxl. i did go to a corksport cat back that got loud enough for me to get a warning, so i had to purchase the silencer. now i have a rb header the runs seperate all the way back to a collector in front of a dynomax ultraflo muffler. it's loud. and yes, it's on the SCCA ITS racecar i'm building.

if anyone is interested, i'm selling my mt header, bonez high-flow cat, and corksport exhaust. it HAS to go. make me an offer. i need to make room in the garage. i have pics. i live in maryland. can ship or meet if your resonably close.

thanks,
mike

Well, my video editing machine is down at the moment for a makeover. I'll probably finish it up this weekend. If I do, I'll re-encode them for you

Well. I decided to make my motor run before I put my new one in. It has 0 compression on the rear rotor. As most of you can probably imagine, there are CRAZY back fires because of that, plus my exhaust ends at the turbo

The stocker spools so loud right now it sounds like a t-78 turbo or something
