How Important is the Resistance of the Spark Plug Wires...

I read today that if the resistance was too far off it could mess with the ignition system....I had installed a set of Accel wires a few years back and they are low resistance and coincidentally I have had some intermittent ignition problems...I would very much appreciate your opinions or experience.....I can/t search because of the proxy error situation...

I doubt that the problem lies with the resistance in your wires. That would be the last place I'd look.

Hell there easy enugh to swap out just for the hell of it. The resistance issues you run into are inerferance with devices do to the heavy voltage they put out and not being insulated as much.

Have you used a multi meter to check your CAS and ECU to asure proper working order?

Also route the HV spark wires away from the CAS signal wires.

If they are right next to each other, the CAS signal will pick up noise from the spark.

i'm pretty sure regular wire resistance is like 3k ohm/ft

if it ends up being more than that, get new wires

lower resistance wires are usually for performance and stuff, might help you get a better spark, but i read somewhere that it could cause radio interference with your stereo/radio and stuff

if i'm wrong someone feel free to correct whatever i said
