my parts car has a better panel than my driver just wrong color and the motor works as good. I was thinking about swapping so there will be no rust when I get it painted.

you can swap just the skins. Open the roof a few inches(~4-6) and pry off the inside cloth panel with a flat blade or a small prybar. It has maybe 4 snaps that have to come off. Once it is free of those it should slide forward easily and off it comes! Then its just a matter of unbolting the skin. IIRC it is 6 nuts/bolts that hold the skin on the rails. Repeat and reverse on your car.
