They were also only driving at 45mph, so wind-resistance wasn't much of a factor. It has been shown that driving at 65-75 mph with the windows down creates enough wind resistance to make it cheaper to run the A/C and keep the windows up.

But yes, at lower speeds and through town having the windows down will be more fuel-effecient than having the A/C on.

I think it really depends on the drag properties of the vehicle. A truck is not an Rx-7.

True, but I've tried it in my RX-7 and it's proven to be true, as I know others on this board have.

If those are city miles thats about right. If they are highway miles then yeah you probably are doing something wrong.

free flow exhaust and a intake setup will make a noticeable gas milage difference, but in both directions! while getting on it your gonna use more gas cause your making more power, but if you drive very nicely you should gain a bit of milage

well i get 240-260 miles on a tank which is about 13.5-16 mpg and its all right but i have an safc2 and cone filter and 3" exhaust with a 2.5" header not to mention im rolling on mitsubishi evo 8 wheels with 245-45-17 falken azenis with a small spacer and only with a small spacer will it fit. does anyone have a safc2 on their car cause i need to know why mine wont read throttle postion, on either settings arrow pointing up and right or the arrow pointing down and right so i have it set to doulble asterisks and any tuning tips like high throttle settings would be nice

premix with penzoil semi synthetic (walmart) 12 oz per fill of around 15 gallons.

u can get around 130 mpg from a regular car, can't remember where I read it, but all you have to do is speed up to 50 mph and shut the engine off and glide till if stops and keep repeating.

offcource I am JOKING pls do not try this as it is very dangerous, yada yada...
So what milege did you get befor adding synthetic oil?
