How fast is your first gear?

I was just wondering how fast everyone's 2nd gen's first gear is? Mine is so pathetic i've been beat by an accord in first gear, but then in every other gear it just keeps pulling. I don't think that first gear in our 2nd gens are that long to cause it to be so slow but then again i may be wrong. It's kinda weird cuz if i race a car starting in first i almost never win, but if i start from a roll in 2nd or 3rd they'll see my tail lights in seconds. Is this just mine car in general or does all of ours do this?

Mines hit 40 before...Lol at the expense of fuel, and i've yet to hit more than 1/5 into the redline (buzzer hasn't sounded).

Are you getting a bog when you launch? Try slipping the clutch with some gas to avoid that for starters, then get used to popping the clutch with a good trottle on. With my open diff as far as I'm concerned, I have no first gear when the turbo spools and barely a second. It's like driving on ice when it's wet outside.

At a stop light my N/A redlines the 1st gear just as I'm leaving the intersection. That's 38mph, btw.
