you have two options =)

one is easy and one is hard... so obviously take the easy way..

On the big E shaft pulley is 4 small bolts, take them off, and take the pulleys off, but leave one bolt in all the pulleys, the 4 wholes only line up ONE way and ONE way only, Then you can take off the water pump with no problem =)

Other way would be to take off the whole E shaft Main pulley boss, which means taking off that ~100 lbs of torque bolt on the front, and holding the clutch down the whole time... Not super easy... do it the other way =)

Well i have the water pump on. I am just trying to get the water pump pulley back on. The only way to do that it seems is to take the main pulley off. So how do I do that?

I assume you took the water pump off with the pulley attached. If you did, that's the obvious way to reinstall it,ie take the water pump off,put the pulley on and then put the water pump back on.

This is not hard, but it does take patience. The drive pulleys do interfere with the water pump pulleys. The drive pulleys come off with 4 10mm bolts. (The bolt circle as asymmetric.) Before you install the pump check the rear water pump housing for erosion. Mine was eroded by the turbulence of the high revving pump. The bypass valve seat under the thermostat had about a 4mm chamfer eroded away, and there was a 6mm hole eroded through the wall between the inlet and outlet side and a pin hole had formed in the back side where I couldn’t see it. All this bypassing gives symptoms like a partially blocked radiator. I fabricated a repair with Bondo Marine Epoxy Putty Stick. It has held for a year now.

Alright, this is the problem now. I took the main pulley off. OK, now tryin to get it back on: There are 4 bolts that hold the main pulleys on. I took those off. I put the pulley back on & put 2 bolts in. The other 2 now don't line up. WTF am I working on here? A riddle on wheels? I can't seem to find a way to line the bolts up to get the main pulley back on.

Yo. The pulley will only go on ONE way. Keep playing around with it. Be patient, it will line up.
