With a 19mm socket and breakover bar, AFTER the flywheel has been held down so the shaft won't turn.

The eccentric shaft bolt SHOULD HAVE been installed using locktite and quite a few ft/lbs. Using a butane torch on the bolt til it gets good and hot helps breakdown the locktite and it'll come off easier.

I assume you don't have a impact wrench to remove the bolt, so I didn't waste time saying to use one.

If the flywheel etc has already been removed..........sad.

if you have a ruined rotor and housing, you can stick a wrench down the exhaust port of the housing to hold the engine. (This is a terrible idea if the engine is in good shape.)

The engine is half-disassembled and the eccentric hub bolt has not been removed? How odd...

That bolt should be broken free as the 1st step when disassembling the short block.

At this point the only real option is to use an impact gun and heat. Other common methods could cause damage as the eccentric shaft is unsupported...

You guys wont believe how I got it off this time. If you guys ever haveing trouble getting that off and you have started half way into your engine from the rear. Take some rubber hosing can be anykind really. Stick the hose in your exhaust port. put your regular 19mm socket on your bolt. Twist your ratchet to the loosen position and the the hose will start to stop the rotor from spinning. That rotor will never move anymore after that. It will give you the strength to loosen that bolt. Now when you get the the engine apart the rotor will be stuck to the housing. So what I did is that i removed all the springs and seals on one side of the rotor and took a rubber mallet and started hitting it out. There was no damaged caused in this.
