i usually shift around 3k, seeing as how LA traffic SUCKS :P. nice to be able to merge and squeeze in places with the high revving oomph though .

Most ot the time I go with the flow, but sometimes ya just gotta go for that opening up ahead.
Other drivers know when I get happy - my exhaust gets LOUD.

"redlines are made to be broken" yeap thats my infamous quote i redline my car somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 times a day but then again somedays i only drive my car 20 miles and thats to work and back and it doesnt even see 4k then somedays i do regular driving and hit about 4.5- 5.5 and shift out

I hit redline almost every time I go from a stop.

Some times I just sit there and smoke the tires for *****..

The old people here love the loud sound and the smoke...

I love to run my car hard. It seems to run better after a good hard running.

That is EXACTLY why I don't want a loud exhaust. I redline mine and don't have too look to see who is around.

I let the shift buzzer let me know when to shift.

I drive it like a grandma most of the time, only because I just recently got it and I want to make sure it's in top notch condition before I start rallying it. Also, I need to put my ACT clutch in as well - that shift into 3rd can be a bitch when racing! So I just basically keep easy on it so I don't have clutch problems.

Also, I don't want to wreck this thing, only S5 TII in Alaska. Why destroy something so rare (around these parts)

Yeah, me too. The worst I ever got was 17 when I let my neighbor drive it. He owns a riced CRX. He had a blast it and it was before I did any mods . . had to get used to the rev buzzer because he "couldn't hear the engine like in (his) car" when he had it wound up. We ended up at 100 on a straight stretch of rural road and he was not really aware of the speed . . tells you something about the CRX he was used to driving.

The best I have done was 26mpg. driving it pretty normally (ie. not like an owner of a sports car) coming back from Portland after buying it . . . all highway miles at 70.

I got something over 27 coming back from my first pilgrimage to Hwy 1. That was I5 from Crescent Lake, CA to Tacoma, WA. 70mph, roof open, both windows down, cruise on. I wonder what I'd have gotten with the windows up and roof closed, doing 55. Not that I intend to drive that slow unless absolutely neccessary.

Turbo's help out low end though, maybe lag a little, but low end a turbo has an NA by as much as it does top end. As for how I drive my car a careless driving and an exhibition in only 3 weeks time. Both for drifting, O and the time I didnt get a ticket but got pulled over the cop said that was the coolest thing he had ever seen and didnt give me a ticket b/c no one was around. I have since started driving like a grandma or walking.

I sit in mine and pretend to drive too. Sad thing is mine ran when I took it home. Found this damned forum and ripped my intake off modded the TB and port matched it. Now I'm thinking of making a header and I haven't even put the intake back on yet. Sheesh...good thing it is winter and I have a suspended license.

Do you guys realize that the rotors turn at 1/3 the speed of the output shaft? That means at 3000RPM the rotor is moving at 1000. I know this is no ****'don engine, but how much efficiency do you think you can get below 1000 RPMs of rotor speed?
