Well my car has lately been throwing a cloud of smoke in the afternoon when I start it? It wont do it in the morning but in the afternoon after it sits it has tough time starting and then followed by a cloud of white smoke so someone told me to adjust my tps but dont know how and cant find a thread so just wondering if some can help? Or wanted to know if this is the proper step in fixing my problem? I have a 87 na with 1500 miles on the engine can someone Help?

that doesnt sound like its your TPS...have you gone through the break in period of the engine???

 

You either need to get a haynes manual an a multimeter or you need to get a special light... I have no Idea what you call it or where you would buy it...

 

you know, i had the same problem before, and all i did was adjust the screw on top of the Throttle body. it's running too rich :P try that first. if it still does it, adjust the tps. it's found in the FSM or just search.
