How do i stop my hatch from squeaking

My hatch keeps squeaking, over every road imperfection that the car rolls over....How do i get it to stop. It's pretty loud so all i do is turn up the radio. But i would really like to get rid of it al together. Should i replace the seal?

Mine squeeked pretty bad and I just sprayed WD-40 on the hinges and every other moving part. The pressurized arms that push the hatch open, hinges at the top, and the locking mechanism that keeps it shut. No squeeks anymore.

mine used to speak like some mad little critter was in the back of the car, simple undo the bolts that hold down the catch assemblies and either push them up a tad or pull the down a tad, it is just to do with where the hatch is in relation to other surrounding bits while it is closed

Muchas Gracias Amigos: (thanks in spanish)
I think i'll do that and then see. my old 87 did the same thing and i lubed it up, but eventually it came back. so i'll try the hinge thingie and see if the two methods combined could eliviate the problem permanently.
