How do i rewire a non turbo Fuel Pump
I've seen the ways on how to do it with a turbo harness. I looked an i cant find anything for non turbo. Theres one post of a guy who posted his over kill wiring to his pump. Its kinda has what i would have to do but im not sure. I dont have the resistor box cause it was a non turbo base. So im really confused. But can anyone help me with what i can do. I already have a upgraed pump. Heres the link to the overkill https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/pics-my-overkill-fuel-pump-rewire-732904/

I came up with that writeup in question (using 8 gauge), and now we will have to see if my single Supra pump can flow 500 to the wheels unaided. If you are non turbo and you don't have signs of dropping fuel pressure (either a drop in a fuel pressure gauge or very high injector duty cycles), just leave it alone.
But it sounds like you have an n/a to turbo conversion. So what you are going to do is cut the black/white wire going into the pump (blue on the rear harness side of the connector by the strut tower). Then you will install a relay wired up like this:
87: wire directly from the battery, fused
30: wire from the relay to positive lead on the pump (pump side of the black/white wire you cut)
86: black/white wire, the harness side of what you just cut
85: chassis ground for the relay itself
It's basically how I did it in my other thread, except you are not running 8 gauge into the tank. I would suggest you consult the factory service manual after this and adjust your variable resistor, as you may have a richer idle mixture.
