Question How do I buy an engine from out of state and not get ripped off????

I may be getting a TII motor from 1000 miles away and want to do it as safe as I can. What are my options?

I did this and almost got raped for 1K dollars.. Good this i used ESCROW.. basically you give the Escrow the funds and they will contact your seller and then you let the escrow know if you are happy with the whole deal then the escrow sends the seller the funds.. Its very safe...

I used a guy I knew in the state I bought from. He went over took pics for me, made the pick up and drop at carrier. Damm good thing I did so, the straping that held the motor to the pallet was cheap and broke. He was such a good friend he restrapped and built a crate around the pallet so that it was not dammagen in transit. And the cost for this - 2 tickets to see the damm Cubs when we met in Chicago last summer for a work thing......
