I second that opinon... how does one kill it? I'd love to have a shift light, but that buzzer is a real PITA.

you can change the RPM it goes off at, maybe put it at about 10k RPM which you'd never reach (well almost anyone of us would)

Cool

I think the redline buzzer is one of the many features that makes RX7s unique to all other cars. Its sort of ironic really, that it is hard to really overrev a rotary. You would think they would be found on more piston-engined vehicles. If my windows are down, I can't really here it anyway. I love the buzzer!!!

chances are unless you have some really good mods your car will be faster if you shift before redline anyways.... so why bother.

Take you combination meter out of the car and unsolder the buzzer.

I have an 87 t2 bone stock with 170k on it. I shift with the buzzer and ran a 14.90. but it might be different this year i'm starting mods.

Yeah, that buzzer sucks, I always get weird looks from my friends like thats all my car has and it cant take any more, and I try to tell them I could rev it to the moon without damage. It pisses me off because I only take it 500 past the buzzer. that damn thing.
