i got the bonez racepipe on my car and figuring its not good for the engine ..how do you disable the 3k warmup?

 

just start the car in gear...it shouldn't rev up last 1500 rpms

 

Tap the gas and it will go down.

has a good writeup. you can disable the cold-start crap without doing the other stuff

 

On the bottom of your radiator, on the left side, there is a switch with two wires going to it . Pull one or if you want both connectors off the switch. The 3000 will not happen again. There is another but really better way. On the left side of the engine, just a few inches from the dipstick is a item called the AIR BYPASS SOLENOID VALVE. It is barrel shaped and has two rubber hose going to it and an electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector. Done. Through. That valve is the one that causes the 3000 rpm for 17 seconds. It is preferable to disconnect that plug over the one at the bottom of the radiator. The disconnect of the one below the radiator effects more than the 3000 rpm for 17 seconds. Or you can do like the man said, and put your shifter in gear while you start the engine. That will do in the 3000 for 17 seconds.
