How could installation of Kill Switch, make my idle crap?

I bought the car from the previous owner and he told me that the crappy idle only appeared after he had his mechanic install the kill switch? I was wondering how could the switch be causing my idle to crap out so easily? I am planning to clean the BAC the next chance I get just to make sure it isn't that. But I wanted to know if any wires or any sort of anything to do with the switch could actually have anything to do with the problem. Thanks, guys!

If the switch was installe properly, then it should not have effected the idle. The only connections would have been made to the coil of the fuel pump relay. But many people don't install these properly, so any wiring involving the fuel pump is now suspect.

Thanks, I will look into that. By the way Aaron, I must say I love your avatar. Chuck Palahniuk and Dave Fincher are the SHIET! Along with Ed Norton Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter, Fight Club rocks my socks.
