this problem has been occuring spontaneouly for a while now. dunno how to describe but willl explain the best i can. feels like my car doesnt want to engage. im thinking it could be clutch problem. everytime i depress the throttle the rpm jumps to 3k then drops back to 2k rpm. even at WOT my car does the same thing. got out and pop the hood and played with the throttle switch. still did it. was thinking this could be drivetrain problem but then it even does this **** when in neutral. im thinking wtf!!???.........

dunno hte source of this problem and was hoping i could get ur ideas with what u think is the problem and how to fix it. cant really get anwhere without fear of my car just wanting to die until i fix this problem. wanna fix my car while it still in the driveway. hope to get this done soon so my car could become my daily driver again.

 

First.... its engine actually revving up or is the tach just jumping on its own..

second.. it does this while you are driving with the clutch out.. like you are cruise at 55 and puch down on the gas and the motor reves without the car moving any faster??

Third... does it in Neutral...... check your t-body linkage.

 

The description leaves us wondering. If it's happening while your driving such as this.......in third gear and stomp the pedal and the revs go up but the car does not speed up, then it's a worn out clutch plate.
