I was looking at the "bypass" in my spare AFM last week and was thinking of getting rid of the bypas restrictor, allowing more air to flow through possibly..? SAFC should be able to compensate.

hey aslong as somthing worked i hate it when people lean or put things on my cars like trash cans or rakes ie

 

well the body itself isnt in the best shape its scratched/and faded and bumps on the hood and a messed up fender. plus it didnt run great for a long time so i dont mind stuff getting on it. but ya atleast here is a how to to get that crap off

 

Freezing does not harm electronics at all, though condensation might.

Yeah, student loans take forever. I learned to plan on not having cash for 2 months every semester, to be safe.

If the trash can were heavy and right up against the tail pipe, I bet it could keep the car from starting. It's not that the exhaust would go back into the engine (maybe a tiny bit would, I dunno). The exhaust just wouldn't be able to get out or, more likely, the engine would work much harder to push out the exhaust. The banana didn't work on Mythbusters because the exhaust was able to push the banana right out.

You sure it wont harm them from metals and solder contracting quickly from freezing? Possibly cracking solder joints?

 

Your average household freezer doesn't work quickly enough to cause that sort of problem.
Dropping it into a bucket of liquid nitrogen on the other hand...

 

ah well I was thinking of those compressed air cans that you can use to freeze stuff if you flip them up side down or similar.

 

if your worried about that then are you worried about leaving your car out when it goes to 20-30 degrees outside? As i said i left it in there for about 20-60 seconds. just enough to make sure i got the majority of it out. you got to understand your car for the most part is was built for the hardships. Now if there is humidity in the electronics they ya that will mess something up.

 

Thats a different story, going from 80*F down to -10*F in a second is pretty harsh. Leaving your car out and having it slowly get colder and colder is not going to hurt anything. I thought someone mentioned using some sort of freeze in a can or something. I just misread or skipped over something.
