how can you tell if its time to replace injectors? (leaky injectors)
k so i have a 88 10ae with racing beat mufflers (only mod)
i have a switch wired to my fuel pump directly.
so the process for me starting my car goes in 2 scenarios.
1. cold start - flip the fuel pump switch to ON and crank. pretty simple
2. hot start - flip fuel pump switch to off and crank. keep cranking until it catches the excess fuel and then flip ON to give the car more fuel.
im tired of this sequence because even when i get the car running on a hot start the car will idle and die within 10 seconds unless i manually idle it. which gets very annoying.
so my question is how can you tell if your fuel injectors are leaking? and if they are. is there any write up with pictures of how to change them.

Sometimes dirty injectors can be to blame, but a very rich start map is the ultimate problem. The problem seems to be most common with S4 TIIs and their low CR rotors.
If you want to test the injectors, you'll need to remove the UIM & unbolt the injector rails. Leave all fuel lines connected, but lift the injectors out of the manifold/block. Jump the fuel pump test connector (yellow 2-wire on passenger shock tower), and turn the key to 'ON'. If the injectors are leaking, you'll see it. If they do, put them in a box, and ship them to a place like Witchunter Performance.
