How can I get more horses out 2nd gen n/a
Hey guys I'm new at this, I just joined a week ago. Anyway I need to know how I can get more horse out of my 91 n/a
7. My current mods consist of Bonez air intake, Racing beat
cat replacement pipe w/ presilencer, racing beat y pipe, apex univesal mufflers. The engine only has 8,200 miles, brand new.
Another thing I noticed, under high rpm (5,800-6500)
when I'm driving "she" the engine seems like its missing, like it not getting enough fuel to feed the fire. It doesnt do this when I
tach it sitting, still just under load. I'd really appreciate it if one of you Rotory wizards could drop knowledge on me, because I'm sick of these Integras, Civics and other wanna bees trying me.
thanks 1phat7....

"Super Air/Fuel Control" made by Apex'i. Good stuff! It allows you to control fuel ratios by 500 RPM incriments! look at www.rx7.com under fuel systems I think. It explains it pretty well!

I don't see why it can't be your first mod. You can dyno tune it and get he best performance. After that you can add the TII 550cc injectors & fuel pump and retune everytime you get more Hp or whatever.
your high rpm problem
It sounds like your secondary injectors are starting to go bad. maybe slightly clogged. i have never had this problem myself but if a guru will back me up i think i am right.
but 550cc injectors would solve that

Sigh. Ok people, listen up. It has been said before several times on this forum, and I will say it again. Unless you have some serious mods (ie. nitrous, porting, turbo, supercharger) you WILL NOT need larger injectors on an NA. Installing larger injectors will simply cause the car to run rich, and you will loose power. You could install larger injectors and turn them down with an S-AFC, but if you are doing that you might as well just use the S-AFC to make the most of the injectors you already have.
If you want to get more out of your NA, there are several other mods. You can install an ignition system, electric fan, underdrive pullies. Also, make sure your 5th and 6th ports are working, and that your VDI is operating correctly. If you have leaky injectors, have them cleaned. Weight reduction is always an option, as is a small shot of nitrous. If you want to make more power, you will need to port the engine.
Oh, and your misfire is probably due to ignition problems (old or bad plugs/wires) or a missing ground underneath the upper intake.

Aaron Cake is right. Doing the math on how much HP the stock injectors will support comes out the 262 HP at 85% duty cycle. To learn more about what your injectors can support goto www.sdsefi.com and look around. This is a great website for facts not fluff.
