Question How bad do Cats kill mpgs?

So, from those of you who have experienced this first hand. How bad do catalytic converters kill gas mileage?
Thanks

From my experience with different makes, I didn't see any increase providing cat(s) were functioning properly.

If anything It promotes It. Not only did I notice a tad bit of Increase of Fuel Economy when I removed my Cat, I noticed a considerable loss of low end! Keep It on If you have a Hi-Flow setup.

the electric turbo does work from my butt dyno, i have yet to do any runs with it on/off on a dyno or with my gtech. it definitly seems to help low end over just a cone filter but until ive proven it works at wot i dont want to say its a good buy. for me im happy with it...so i spent 120 bucks...no biggie. if you got the money to spend might as well try i say.

I just installed a downpiper and bonez high flow main cat with the stock cat back. Before it was a full 2.5-3 inch exhaust. I will let you know if my mpg goes up or down and how much.

with a turbo it will help gas mileage. Yes without you are running free but you are using more boost so thats where it hits your gas mileage. Dropping the cats from a NA will help at the pumps.

Also, no cats on an NA promotes gas saving driving while in the city, as anythign over like 2500 rpm draws unwanted attention.

Stock exhaust can't be too bad. I got 28mpg doing some city and freeway driving with my 87 base on its first tank under my care. Those skinny tires probably help a little.

why not just buy a used electric leaf blower, and wire that up to your intake?

hahah, "e-turbo" bahhhhhh.
Only way they are REALLY going to work is if you change your muffler bearings with those new rotary style titanium bearings.
