TX How to: BAC Valve Removal

Thought I'd make my first contribution to the technical section. Through all my previous searching, I could never find a thread on how to remove the BAC valve from a S5 N/A. Only S4 turbo write-ups. I had been noticing a slightly erratic idle and assumed my BAC valve may have been clogged/bad. (turns out that was not the case, video states what the culprit really was) After fixing the idle issue, I noticed a slight drop in idle under electrical load and/or braking. This again led me to believe the BAC valve was bad so this time I just dove into it and found out very quickly it was very easy. Now on to the fun stuff.

Reasons to replace/clean BAC valve:
-Poor/erratic idle
-Idle drop under braking
-Idle drop under heavy electrical load
-Emissions delete

Tools needed:
-Screwdrivers (for removal of intake and hose fasteners)
-12mm socket (for two nuts connecting intake to dynamic chamber)
-10mm socket, 1/4 inch drive (for the nuts holding down the BAC valve)
-Ratchet with corresponding drive for sockets
-Something to plug up a hose (explained why in the video)

Things I didn't mention in the video:
-The BAC valve does have a gasket under it so it may or may not need replacing after this job.
-If you plan on cleaning the BAC valve, only spray a bit of carburator cleaner at a time. DO NOT SOAK IT!
-Again, this MAY or MAY NOT be the culprit for your idle problems. It is just an easy thing to check. Turns out my idle drop under load was not caused by a dirty valve, but by the problem that all FCs suffer from. Need of an upgraded alternator. I am sorry if this turns out to not be the cause of your idle problems, and I am in no way responsible for anything that may happen to your vehicle while you work on it.

After a couple times re-watching the video I feel it does a pretty good job explaining everything. Granted it is not a step-by-step, but it seems like a pretty good long explanation for such a simple job. I have no problem answering questions that were not covered in the video. Again, it is a very easy job, and anybody with basic tools paired with the ability to remove an intake tube should be able to easily remove this valve.

Here is the video.
