house fly getting sucked into the intake?

I was just thyinking, whenever i take my intake components off, i usually block the holes off with tape or something, but what if before i could do so, a housefly or something, flew into the intake. What kind of damage might something like that cause?

HAHAHA I think that same thing sometimes...Why, did that happen? I would assume that if a house fly flew into the intake...once the vehicle started the little fly would get sucked through the hole and compressed, ignited and burnt to a crisp...then get forced out the exhaust...I don't think a little fly could mess up the motor...It just wouldn't make any sense...

Yeah, those Houseflies have an Adamantium laced endoskeleton. If that thing got sucked into your engine, it would probably scratch the crap out of your housings and take a seal or two with it.

The Common Housefly is probably the only fly in existance that can withstand the heat of combustion

I don't know...a fly going through a turbo spooling at 100K RPM might **** it up...the turbo that is.

fab up a filter cap on your exhaust to catch the crisp critters. kinda like the filter on the big smoke stacks. then make apple-fly crisp pie. tasty

I'm sure the fly would get diced into a billion pieces before it damaged a component spinning 100000 rpms...That's a lot of little fly pieces...

There may be a limit on how many cicadas per second a turbo could vaporize.

I'm guessing ~4 per second WOT @4K.

Anybody want to do a test?

My car puts out 90,800 Cicada Power.

I seriously doubt what is left of the fly after it goes through your engine is any match for a turbo.

(Unless the fly ate your CORNER SEALS!!! "If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me, beast of fire!")

Not frozen - only thawed.

Frozen 20lb turkey in a turning turbofan = KaBOOM.
