Horn problem

I have an 86 GXL. The horn doesn't work. All the wiring under the hood seems to be intact and connected to the horns.

I've looked in the factory manual, but it says practically nothing about the horn system. The fusebox doesn't indicate any fuses are used for the horn.

So, what do I check next? How does the horn connect from the steering wheel button to the horns themselves? Any help would be appreciated.

The horn, believe it or not, is powered by the brake lights circuit, from the 20A "stop" fuse, located in the top or second from top row of your cabin fuse box...

There is a horn relay in the CPU, and since we have so many problems with cold solder joints and loose plug connections on our CPUs, this would be a logical place to start. Push the horn switch, and bang (gently) on the CPU. Anything happen?

Bottom left of the driver side.. its a black box, possible covered by carpet. The FSM shows it.

My horn doesn't work worth **** either, I know this may sound dumb, but where is the horn in the seven?

I have some kind of a horn near the battery, it looks like a car alarm horn, and its disconnected becuase the older car alarm was ripped out... Is it mounted down in the engine bay somewhere, harder to see? or is the horn that I see actually the car horn? lol

The horn's right down by the front grille, that much I do know.......

I'll try cleaning the contacts and banging CPUs.
