Hooray a nice day in NH, ill drive the Mazda! or..

ill drive 35min away from my house, and then procede to have a brake fire

 wooo whoo yey

so 2 quick questions

is it commen for these calipers to rust up over the winter? Ive had 2 7's over the course of almost 4 years, and this is the first time its happend

and second

if i cant find another set of non-turbo calipers, can i just throw on a 4pot caliper just to drive home on?

forunatly I made it to work, so my car's inside on a lift right now, still sucks though

A 4-pot caliper won't fit.

You should be able to get a reman single piston caliper at your local auto parts store.

I don't think it's terribly common for them to rust up over the winter, but if there's water in the brake fluid, I can see it happening. Just another reason to bleed your brakes regularly.

Never heard of that happening before. Also, putting the problem in the title would get more replies....
