Why are all 87 2t hood scoop of center? and is there any out there that are not off center because if so i would like to buy it.

 

They are all off center, for a reason. The intercooler is set a little to the left thus the scoop is.

 

You might be able to get an after market hood that is centered

 

I heard that besides the fact that the intercooler is off center that when Mazda was designing the Rx-7 they decided to make it off center to make the car look rebellious. Aparently at the time that sold in Japan, i dono. In any event it is just a rumor I read on another post and it probably holds no truth.

 

Here's one with a Mustang/Capri hood scoop. You could put it on a n/a hood and cut a hole. If I ever have a v-8 in my car and can't fit it all under the hood, I'll do this.

 

I thought it was off-center b/c the intercooler was off-center, like they said above...
