u gotta know the secret code, its up down left right hold on A and press start

 

I believe you have to reach a certain amount posts before you get to choose your own. If I remember correctly it's a 100, but I could/probably be wrong.

It worked for a bunch of games by the same manufacture. I can't remember who, but it was the one that made Contra. It was 1st on the Nintendo as a code, and maybe on others like the Sega Genesis later.
