Hmmm...I wonder why my fuel light won't work anymore....

well, I suppose I should explain, I ran my tank down past empty and when I refilled it my fuel light wouldn't go off, even with a full tank. Also, my gauge reads E most of the time when I figure there's at least 2-3 gallons left. So then, I suppose the probability of my light bulb blowing out is inevitable, so now I don't have a fuel light at all..my question, how can I fix (if possible) my fuel level gauge and my low fuel light to be accurate and trustworthy? Do i need to replace something or can it be R and R'd? Thanks

Mine came on while my tank was about half full, stayed on for two hours, then went out for ever. The light still works when you put it on IGN, but not when low. SOOOO I think the damn things are possesed and we are all doomed.

Replace the low fuel light sender. It's the little cylinder thing with a wire sticking out on the fuel flange/pump/sender assembly.

Just pull the pump assembly out and try to clean all the posts. They get pretty dirty and I cleaned my assembly and the level and light works now.
