hks turbo timer...extra wires...thats no good

Im hooking up my hks type 0 timer. its not the newest model and I have it working but I have an extra wire. I assume thats not good but its probably just something for the rpm sensor. Anyone know what the yellow wire does and where I hook it up?

whoever wired up the turbo timer on my '90 TurboII left some wires dangling also.. it hasn't seemed to bother anything.

yeah, it works fine but I dont think all the functions are able to be used with a wire hanging loose

did you read your instruction manual? I have the HKS Type 0 or 1, can't remember, and it says what all the wires do. It is probably the rpm sensor wire, because the speed sensor one is blue.

I got just the timer with some other stuff I bought...no instructions or harness. I looked for directions online but all I could find were the directions for the new model timer on HKS' site
