Exclamation HKS EVCI help

I had the turbo off to port the wastegate, again, so I thought it woiuld be a good time to swap the mbc for my newly acquired EVCI. I finally managed to pull the harness through the firewall, and after looking at some old HKS files figured out which probes go to which. I placed one on the stock compressor place, one on the wastegate actuator nipple, and one on a nippled on the upper intake mannifold. Well....I spliced into a 12v power source and it turned on, great at leat I have pretty lights to show off.

The only thing that isn't working correctly is the boost graph on the bottom of the unit that should be lit up by led lites. When I boost through any gear the first led light is the only one that is lit up. I can select low, high, or manual boost but I can't seem to change the boost level at all. I would assume my two problems are intertwined.....so I call on you, the evcI expert, to tell me what I did wrong, or what's wrong with the actual ebc.

hmmm, I tried manual and it didn't appear to change boost at all, maybe I should just turn it to max and watch my boost guage real quick.

Damn, well I used themanual button and put it on max and it didn't affect my boost at all. Is it possible that the stepper motor in the unit under the hood is broken? Could I send this in to HKS, or should I just search for another evc....

I'm having problems with mine too, except my lights on my controller are VERY dim and no matter what I do with the buttons I don't get any different boost settings. I wonder if I can send it back to HKS after all these years...

If I could get it fixed for under 50 bucks I'd do so, but if it's over that I might as well just forget about it and take the monetary loss. I'll call HKS tomorrow and see what they reccomend, I realize it's many years out dated by now....but I'll post to see what they say.
