Hks E190

Hey, Im looking at upgrading the chip in my PFC FCON to the E190 chip and asked what injectors they used and they told me they only made chip to use the stock 550cc injectors. Now my concern is how well these will work using a TO4e compressor upgrade ( im assuming they mean wheel and housing, some on e clear this up for me please ) and the HKS FMIC kit, wont the stock injectors be near maxing out? they told me if people wanted more fuel they would use and extra injector controller.
so now this gets compicated.
what are your opinons / experiences of this set up ? is it safe?

also should i just sell the FCON get a SAFC2 so i can run 1000cc+ secondary injectors and upgrade to a T60-1 or whatever BNR stage 4 equivelant compressor housing and wheel i can find in NZ )

the chip will cost NZ$145 - it will then need installing ( i cant do it, well maybe but i dont know how) but then im still stuck running 550cc injectors all round.

a SAFC2 will cost aprox NZ$350 second hand and i would budjet $NZ500 for two new injecotors and a UIM gasget

clearly the second option is much more expensive.

im only wanting to run 1 bar boost and look to get somewhere close to 300rwhp

I have the HKS FMIC kit and a Knightsports T04something compressor upgrade. When I tried to upgrade my F-Con to the T04 ROM (Mine is an S5 so its a different number than yours) - the car ran like ****. I swapped back to the stock turbine ROM and the car is happy.

If you want to install that piece of **** ROM - its pretty simple but it is very easy to damage the ROM if you aren't VERY careful. There a are a shitload of fragile pins that need to all be alligned at once.

I'm running stock injectors but not exceeding 10 psi. I understand you CAN run larger secondaries on the F-Con but you will need the GCC (which I have) so you can tune them in.

As far as maxing out the injectors I am pretty sure I am there. Under load my wideband shows 12ish but my injectors are showing 75% - 80% duty cycle on my AVC-R.

I plan to upgrade to 720 secondaries and run 15 psi on the F-Con.

I'd be weary of a turbo thats listed with wrong information.

I'm not sure EXACTLY how many variations of the T04-S are in existence, but the only S I've seen with a 3" inlet and 2" outlet on the compressor is one from XSPOWER. The true Garret's have a 4" inlet and 2.5" outlet.

All I'm saying is I'd ask some hard questions and check it out before purchasing.

thanks for the advise. so is the turbo designaton "TO4" a garret brand only? or is it a generic term for a specific size?

Well...really it is a generic term, but the "S" was really what I was reffering to. It seems that what he's listing isn't the size of an ACTUAL T04-S. It may be a decent turbo, but I would check it out is all I'm saying. Any time I see in-consistencies like that it throws up flags in my mind. It may just be that he's confusing terms, but you'll want to probe him a bit before handing over some dough.

Either way, a turbo with that size of inducer should net you your 300whp goal. I would look into an additional incjector controller and consider adding another pair of stockers into the mix.

Or go standalone and run 1680 secondaries

theres also this which would be a good upgrade. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...px?id=88996516
he wants $150 for it, id have to send my trubo away for it to be balanced etc so would end up costing a similar amount probably..
